Jim joins Pritchard Griffin to lead capital raising initiatives focused principally on the institutional investor sector. Jim is very experienced at private equity and the aerospace, defense and Government services areas as his background includes assisting in raising capital for The Carlyle Group and Veritas Capital.

Prior to joining Pritchard Griffin, Jim was Head of Investor Relations at Proteus Capital Solutions, where he was responsible for investor relations and solutions for various strategies of alternative investments in the institutional sector. Jim also managed a small boutique placement agent called Pisces Advisors which focused on emerging managers. Prior to Pisces Advisors, Jim was head of private equity fundraising for American Capital, Ltd., a business development firm which was publicly traded. Jim’s experience in fundraising is enhanced by his experience in both funds and co-investments at The Carlyle Group, Questor Management, and Veritas Capital. While at Questor, Jim led the firm’s sale of secondary interests to Harbourvest.

Jim brings a unique background in sourcing fund managers, co-investment opportunities, direct investment deals, and alternative investment strategies on a global basis.

He received his Bachelors in Economics Degree from the College of William and Mary and an MBA from Wake Forest University. Jim maintains his registrations with FINRA in the Series 63 and 82. Jim has also formerly held the Series 7 and 24 designations.
